Do I stay with my child during the visit?

We ask that you allow your child to accompany our staff through the dental experience. We are all highly experienced in helping children overcome anxiety. Separation anxiety is not uncommon in children, so please do not be concerned if at first your child exhibits some negative behavior. This is perfectly normal and will quickly subside. Studies and experience have shown that most children over the age of three react more positively when permitted to experience the dental visit on their own and in an environment designed for children.

Appointment Scheduling in Mount Pleasant, TX

Appointment Scheduling

Our office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience. However, preschool aged children should be seen in the morning because they are fresh and we are able to work more slowly with them for their comfort. School aged children with large treatment plans should also be treated in the morning. With regular dental care, missing school can be kept to a minimum, and doctor's visits are usually an excused absence. Because we limit our practice to the treatment of children and adolescents, not every appointment can be scheduled during after school hours. Please be considerate of others and do not request every appointment to be made "after school."

Missed Appointments

Our office will reschedule the first missed appointment for an established patient because we understand that life sometimes disrupts our plans. However, after three missed appointments, we will terminate our professional relationship with you so that you may find another office that you are able to work cooperatively with for the dental health of your child. Please remember that when you miss your scheduled appointments, we have denied another child the opportunity to be cared for in your place.

Dental Insurance

We will file your dental insurance as a courtesy to you, but please keep in mind that your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance carrier and our office is not a party to that contract. You will be responsible for the amount estimated NOT to be covered by your insurance company at the time that service is rendered. Your total out of pocket expense may differ from our estimation once your insurance company processes the claim. This means that you may owe more, or we may owe you a refund. It is your responsibility to be aware of and understand your insurance policy, but we will help answer any questions that you may have.
