Preventative Care
Preventative care is the cornerstone of good oral health. At East Texas Children's Dentistry, we use routine dental cleanings as an opportunity to educate our young patients on proper hygiene techniques. We also give parents tips on helping their children build a lifetime of healthy oral habits.
During your child’s dental cleaning, our hygienist will clean your child’s teeth and our dentist will perform a complete examination. Should your child require additional restorative services, our dentist will explain the necessary treatments and answer any questions you may have.
Dental Sealants
Dental Sealants are an important preventative measure that helps prevent decay on children’s permanent molars. Our team recommends that sealants be placed to help preserve your child’s teeth. We would be happy to discuss the benefits of sealants at your child’s next appointment!
Restorative Care
Should your child require additional dental care, Dr. Thompson will review the prescribed treatment following your child’s examination, answer your questions, and have our staff schedule the next appointment. Our team will do their best to preserve your child’s primary teeth until they are lost naturally, by utilizing modern, dental techniques.
Emergency Care
Dental emergencies can be very frightening and often painful. Prompt treatment is generally required to alleviate pain and ensure your child's oral and overall health. If you're child is dealing with a dental emergency, call us immediately at 903-577-9900 and we will schedule them in as soon as possible. Should you call during after hours, our voicemail message will instruct you on how to contact us.
